About the event
This one-day workshop takes place in a tranquil space in Co. Wicklow combing a morning of gentle yoga inspired movement, breathwork, visualisations, meditation, relaxation, journalling. All preparing the body, mind and spirit to unlock your creative energy. After a nourishing lunch we will connect to our inner writer and be guided to release this creativity through a writing workshop. There is an option to have a relaxing sauna before we finish the day with a closing ritual.
This workshop will be hosted by both Elaine Harris and Katriona O’Sullivan
Elaine Harris is a yoga therapist and a writer. She has written both for children and adults. She has experience of both traditional publishing and self-publishing. Elaine regularly hosts workshops and retreats in Ireland and France to support women accessing their wisdom and creativity. As a yoga therapist she offers movement practices that are accessible, designed to soothe the nervous system and suit everybody. Elaine is currently doing her PhD in Maynooth University.
Katriona O’Sullivan is a psychologist, professor and the best-selling author of “Poor”. As an activist for education and inclusion she has been an invited speaker at the UN, the World Economic Forum and the European Gender Action Workshop on Women and Digitalization. She leads an award-winning programme to improve working class girls’ access to education in STEM subjects ay Maynooth University. Katriona is currently working on her second book.
This day retreat is suitable for anyone feels called to start writing or is working on a writing project already. Absolutely no yoga or writing experience is required. It will be an intimate gathering so places are limited.

11.30 am - Tea Ritual with Journalling / Walking Meditation
